Public space is like an open space, that induces the communication among the users. It has several alternatives: can walk freely, having each one the right of going and coming, of practicing activities, whether it be leisure, or sporting, of improving the physical and mental health, becoming better the quality of life of the people among many others.
This space returns to the Antiquity, in Greece, with the creation of “Agora” the first space of policy discussion among the citizens of Athens, that gives rise to the democracy, before taking any decision of the government’s authorities.
These open spaces had been transforming themselves along the centuries through the urbanization of the cities.
The specificities of these spaces at current epoch are different from culture to culture on the several regions of the world. They can be symbols of power, of divisions of social classes, but at the same time they can be converging spaces. For example, the element water, the presence of green, musical shows serve the attraction for people to settle on these spaces.
Some technological innovations were brought to these open spaces in this twenty-first century, through the laiser, that take several colored lights and transformed themselves at night.
The final aim is to promote the well-being of all people providing the personal and collective interaction as much physical as psychological.
