ARCHITECTURAL INTERCHANGES IN ASIA
Co-sponsored by the Architectural Society of China (ASC), the Architectural Institute of Japan (AIJ) and the Architectural Institute of Korea (AIK), the 13th International Symposium on Architectural Interchanges in Asia (13th ISAIA) was held as a hybrid event 1-2 December 2022.
In line with the UIA’s designation of 2022 as the Year of Design for Health”, the 13th ISAIA’s theme was “Sharing Healthy City for More People”. The keynote speech was presided over by Zhuang Weimin, Co-director of UIA-PPC (Professional Practice Commission). In addition, the conference held two special forums entitled “Healthy City” and “Healthy Building”, and a total of 16 professionals and scholars from ASC, AIJ and AIK did presentations.
The conference also consisted of six academic sessions, including “Architectural Planning and Design”, “Architectural History and Theory”, “Urban Planning and Design”, “Construction Engineering and Management”, “Big Data and Interdisciplinary Collaboration” and “Architectural Programming and Post-Occupancy Evaluation”. Around 200 delegates and students from the three institutes attended the conference through zoom and about 8,000 people watched the live stream broadcast.
