Organised by the Consejo Superior de los Colegios de Arquitectos de España (CSCAE), with the cooperation of UN-Habitat and supported by the Government of Spain, the Comunidad de Madrid, the Ayuntamiento de Madrid and the Colegio Oficial Arquitectos de Madrid, the 2022 UIA Forum seeks to transform the capital of Spain into the epicentre of the global debate on decent and adequate housing, with the aim of producing a multilateral declaration.
Registration fees
Early bird registration is availableuntil 21 March at 100 euros after which the entry fee will be set at 300 euros. Ticket holders will have access to virtual and in-person attendance. It will also be possible to experience the event virtually at the cost of 25 euros.
UIA delegates attending the Extraordinary General Assembly will receive free registration. The number of delegates for each UIA Member Section will be capped at the number of votes attributed by the UIA.
The Forum will take place at the Teatro Estación Príncipe Pio whereas the Extraordinary General Assembly will take place on 16-17 May at the Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Madrid (COAM).
Side events
UIA Member Sections are invited to join the movement by sharing situations in their contexts that can serve as case studies and organising side events with local stakeholders to stimulate debate around housing accessibility. The side events will take place virtually and will be held ahead of the Forum and their conclusions will be integrated into the Forum’s discussions.
